No, I just mounted it as far rearward as it would go, just past flush with the false firewall. I had to grind the edges where there would have been interference with the mufflers, but no major modifications. You will have to remove the sides of the black part of the motorbox shroud that protrudes forward from the firewall to accommodate the cylinder heads.
