Chances are the recoil is a quick wiring fix. You mentioned that some of the plugs came out and you put them back. Make sure you have the these in the right socket.
I don't own a Taigen, but I think the wiring set up is similar to a Heng Long. I have circled the two five pin plugs. Make sure they are plugged in correctly. If you got these mixed up then you would have trouble.
