Nice color scheme Bassbug.
I found some K2R to suck the oil out of the balsa. Stuff still works good but, now, it has a nice aroma. One coat and brushed the rest. I'm also scrapping much of the epoxy layer I used to fuel proof the firewall area. After 20 plus years, it had softened a bit making removing with a sharp chisel a bit easier.
I'm still thinking the mechanics of how to remove the bottom wing attach structure. The pix, if one can make it out, shows some penciled ideas. Got to beef the inside before any cutting so nothing gets out of alignment. Most doable.
Top wing is ready to glue up but I need some more working space on my boards.
Pix upload has hit a snag. I'll put them up when I figure this out.
