How aboutthe Main Retract: Spitfire Mk IX (EFLG625SP) 375.00 USD what justify this hi price? Anybody has viablealternative?
Marvair; be aware that the FG40 cylinder head will protrude well below the engine cowl and due to the length of the engine the cowl has to be moved forward which leaves the 6mm gap of the top hatch exposed.
I had to make a shroud to cover the 6mm gap, see link below. The photos show the 6mm gap before and after the shroud is installed. I was not thrilled with the price of the E-flite retracts either, but they are well designed and they drop right in with no modificatios to the mounts and they look great!
