Mike, Its not your fault,, If you didn't know the history of FEJ, I didn't when I bought mine. I bought one of the older 1/8 f16's, it was a great flying plane, I lost it due to rudder flutter, but I don't really blame FEJ, I had a 120sx (31lb) turbine in mine, on my 14th flight I had a member out with a radar gun and I poured the coals to it, as it came by HAULIN, the rudder started fluttering and the entire back of the jet started twisting, I was able to control the impact, and really only broke the nose of the plane, and of course the rear stabilizer, and fuselage seams. didn't hurt the turbine, or gear, didnt even break a fuel line. inspection of the rear stab showed that the rudder mount that was glued into the stabilizer had broken loose, the servo was still mounted to the wood ,but the wood was not epoxied in the stab anymore,, SO does that mean my FEJ is garbage,,almost EVERYONE on this forum is going to tell you that is the case,, however I take a lot of the blame, It was my first turbine, I but a bigger engine than it was supposed to have, I OVERSPED IT. SO, this is my exact experience with FEJ,, These guys have good intentions trying to let members know about FEJ's history, and lack of business ethics, They don't want to see another member lose their money, or get a badly designed jet, and to be honest with you, from what I read, I wouldn't touch one of their newer jets with the Honeycomb design with a 10ft pole.

The FEJ problem on RCU is a certain group of members, anytime someone makes a post about FEJ that is not bashing them, there is a group that instantly attacks the member making the post, this intial negative response is exactly what drives members and pilots away from this forum, which is truly a shame, because the truth is when it comes to RC jets, this forum has some of the smartest, and most experienced people out there, The problem is there are some real jerks on here too, and its hard to put up with these people, and yes a couple of them have responded to your post, its an easy read to identify these guys. The truth is, FEJ has burned a multitude of members here, and there have been multiple well known pilots who have lost their fej jets in straight level flight, but there are also people here who may have caused their jets failure, Just as I believe I did with mine, but they will never admit to it,, The end decision is just like the money, its yours,, personally I would not take the chance with Fej, I would recommend buying from another manufacturer, Yes they all may have quality issues come up, but none of the other big ones has such a bad rep with taking customers money, and not delivering anything, or not building the way a customer specified and paid extra for,
No matter what you choose, I wish you success and happy flights,, and don't let the RCU jerks turn you away from the good members on this site,,,
