Still playing with ideas and wood before I start cutting up and risk some thing that may make more work if I just go off willy nilly and start sawing up a perfectly good fuselage.
I'm still plan on using the already existing wing splice boxes within the fuse. A matter of beefing up the internal structure before cutting the box out. Then , I'll use the wing box as a major mount and glue the wings at the 4 degree dihedral angles. Attach to the fuse will be two locator dowel pins and nylon screws ala Top flight Kits.

The balsa piece is a template to insure both sides are identical as I can make them. 1/2" dowel flows through the fuse and out the other side.
Color will be AN Orange/Yellow and will look like the 16B Finch used by the RCAF. I may even put the full canopy over the cockpits.
