As mentioned earlier, The “Best Central Powers” was awarded to Mike Gross for his new Fokker Dr.1 Triplane. Built from a stock GTM kit, but with impeccable detail and attention to detail including full cockpit with moving stick and wind anemometer on the struts. At 1/3 scale it had a 94.5'' wing span and a DLE 111cc twin engine. Pics back on post 49.

Mike is a three time MAD Patrol winner now and also flew his past winning 1/3 Sopwith Camel “Wonga Bonga” and hails from New York’s Long Island area. Soon he will be wearing all of these medals from a camel pilot.
