FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE HAD MOTOR / ESC ISSUES:

There have been a few YouTube and vids posted showing people who have crashed their CZC for no apparent reason. Their piloting skills seem adequate. After watching those videos I was curious about why? I have a hypothesis that it is due to the stock settings on the ESC!

If you read the manual that comes with the ESC on the CZC it says that the Voltage cutoff is set to 74% of startup voltage. START-UP voltage not battery pack rated voltage. So if you put a 6s battery in the plane that is not 100% charged (let say 4.01 per cell) then that is what the ESC is going to read as start-up voltage and calculate cut off voltage to be 2.9674 per cell. That's way below what the lipo should be discharged to.

I feel this may be the reason for the faulty claims on the ESC or RX operations. READ THE MANUAL FOR THE ESC!!!!
