Finally finished the Jemco P-51. I tried to make it look more like a P-51H by changing to the tall tail. I also took a stab at rounding the lower nose and doing the same for the lower fuselage radiator area. The radiator scoop attachment to the fuselage was changed so it is more like all the other P-51 kits out there. In the end the changes aren't very noticeable and I could have left the kit stock. The canopy is from Parkflyer Plastics because the kit canopy was distorted. Engine is Super Tiger Bullring 46.
Fuselage 3/4 oz. cloth, wings Sig Koverall. Paint hardware store enamel with satin polyurethane varnish "clear coat". It's actually really yellow. Had lots of trouble with the clear running. It was a combination of too thin, using my cheap Chinese gun instead of my good one, and bad light. I should have known better. It won't get flown until next year.
