I bought about $525 worth of balsa about four weeks ago to replenish my stock. Three or four years ago, the same amount cost about $175. WOW! sticker shock. Also, I used to buy a lot of 48 inch by 4 inch stuff. Now that extra inch wide essentually doubles the price of the balsa over three inch. As a result I bought all three inch stuff this time. For the price difference, I'm just going to take a little extra time and edge glue the sheets when I need anything wider than three, which unfortunately is most of the time on the stuff I build. But for the price difference I'm willing to do it.
