By the way, the wing skins on an F-4 are over 5/8 inch thick, and there are numerous hefty baffles in the wing and struts to distribute fuel loads during high-G maneuvers. The amount of aluminum in that aircraft is mind boggling, but to see it turn to dust so fast is even more so.
