No, the tubes where fine, the trouble was the work done attaching the control surfaces, poor workmanship there, they hardly move and it was a lot of flexing to loosen them up for just minimum travel.
and just to say so, the landing gear change didn't turn out so good after all, they are too flexible and easly produce a lot of bounce. I'm Now thinking of using piano wire but I don't have the means to do so right now.
