I like my NIMH batteries, for receivers and transmitters. They have seem to have more "oomph" longer and are as forgiveable as nicads. But I will have to admit I just replaced a Rx pack that I accidentally completely discharged, just wouldn't recharge. So, do your homework. Biggest lesson I learned this year, check your batteries after every flight, with a voltmeter that can put a load on the system. My fagged out battery flights into the ground taught me that one. Worst thing to do is guess if you have another flight in a pack.
