You could also solder in a diode to drop the voltage, I used one my eagle tree unit since it is rated lower than the 6.6 I was feeding it. Now it works Iike a charm. You can get them at any radio shack type store etc.

In my opinion even thou others have had success I don't like to risk that stuff with jets.
