Well after doing a quick search I saw The Wild One is about $200 compared to the $104 for the Grasshopper. Those numbers are just for the kits. And then you have the Hornet, The Fast Attack, The Novafox, Subaru Brat, ...

The $135 Neo Fighter and $149 Fighter Buggy SV are Tamiya's newer designs and probably would be a first choice for me for a new entry level design. If you want to "relive" the past... that is great also. 'Cause I'm wanting to relive the past with one of Kyosho's Optimas if they ever decide to do a re-release.
