Well, yes and no, as i recall, Pirker got away with his behavior because the court was confused about the definition of a model airplane. That has only recently been cleared up. And yes, as I said, local law enforcement will likely be responsible for locating and arresting miscreants, while the FAA can then take them to court. Of course the charges will be personal injury, property damage and reckless behavior. All of which can be avoided by abiding by reasonable safety guidelines.
