It makes little difference for our purposes since we're rarely far from the tank and if it lost control, there's not much trouble it can get into, so $8 Orange Rxs are fine. But there's no way I'm going to use a HK Tx with AC or boats where loss of signal means loss of model or possible damage to property.

I've been a fan of Futaba's systems since I started in RC in the mid 1970s. I do get PO'd at them for not lending much support for anyone but flyboys
but I can't fault their systems. I've used or owned Futaba, Airtronics, Graupner/ JR, Circus, Hitec, Spektrum, Orbit ( yes that Orbit!) and Hobby King's Orange system and they've all worked well for their respective times .Since I use servos a lot the selection that Futaba themselves offer, Hitec's range and now even Savox that are compatible with Futaba just can't be beat; there's something for just about any application.
