I just have a piece of velcro on the side of the fuselage, the lead coming through the hole we put in the former is attached to the fuse side just behind that leaving 1.5" free and the lead coming out of the tail has a loop of opposite velcro around it, after connecting the tail you just pull the lead away from the outer "cool" wall and attach the loop to the fuse side.
