Yes, the Citabria will need some modifications, after that she will be reliable to fly everyday, RCU, RCG AND FG, all have a thread for the Citabria, the one with more info will be the one on RCG, I have posted all the modes and changes that I did to my Citabria.
I strongly suggest that you at least do the firewallbox mod one.
