Hostetler Plans offer both a 115" (30%) and a 126.72" (33%) Super Decathlon. Yours could be a plans-built Hosteler, but the engine cowl is throwing me. Seems yours has a much-more pronounced, and larger air intake scoop.

With the details (opening door, engine access door, foot peg) it could be a Hanger 9, which has a wingspan of 137.9".

Do you think that the model is in its original covering, or possibly re-covered?

I love a good mystery!
