The floats are foam cored, balsa and fabric covered, from drawings in a mid '70s magazine, possibly RCM. Strong enough if everything goes to plan, but the odd hard landing, running ashore too fast, and other such happenings have taken their toll. I'll probably put the old girl back on her wheels to check out the new 2.4Ghz installation while I strip, reinforce and recover the floats.
