Just for clarification, isn't the red wire positive and the black wire negative (ground)? Although they both go to the battery, they are not connected together which would short out the battery and the ECDI certainly would not work. Or, as very well may be the case, am I the one confused?

I meant they are bound together in one pair to one connector as opposed to separate wires like I have seen elsewhere. I had one that had no connector on it, just a separate red and separate black wire.
