The cornea transplant is an amazing procedure when you read how it is done. My son had 6 eye surgeries when he was 14 or 15 y/o, so I know about some of that stuff.

When I was in my 30's I never wore glasses except to fly Monday through Fridays. Didn't wear them driving, reading, watching TV, or any other time. But, for some unknown reason, I went and got my glasses one day when I was driving a couple of nails on something. I've never done that before. I didn't blink when I hit a nail hard and watched it shoot back and hit my glasses right in the middle. The force was the most surprising as my nose was sore from the impact. The nail had some force behind it. There is no doubt I would be blind in my left eye if I had not worn those glasses. The polycarbonate glasses had a little divot chipped out of it from the nail.
