Hello Everyone,

I decided to place my question on this forum in regards to my kingtech 170 as I just switched to diesel from Jet A

I cant get my k170 start. More so, I shut it down during preheat stage due to a long and slowly preheat stage that by the time it reaches around 40C-50c its already dripping fuel out the back of the engine and to avoid a fire i shut it down (This is with the kingtech diesel settings right out of the manual).

I'm an experienced pilot but don't know much about turbines, although I loved the way my 170 worked on Jet-A but even then it did always take a few minutes to start.

Is there a way of speeding up preheat stage? to avoid the long wait that leads to the fuel coming out of the aft of the engine?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
