All Txs use potentiometers for position, so if you''ve done it to one, you're good in terms of how-to.

Three wires, you cut into the center and the one at the end point of stick travel of the fire (however you have it set). Just don't make the mistake I seem to all the time, think that since the stick goes up, choose the top wire. The pot position will be opposite the stick travel.
