Happy New Year everybody . I had a great day flying .. I was amazed at how quickly my Carbon Cub lifted off the snow .. I would say about three feet with 1/2 flaps . Man oh man does that puppy ever have a lot of power. I guess the cold air gave it good lift and gave the prop good bite and the last time I flew it was a hot summer day . I sure noticed the difference ... I also flew my I Con and my Flyzone Beaver . There was a good turnout and nobody crashed . we finally had to give way to the snow. It was getting hard to see . I was almost glad anyway . My toes were freezing . I am getting to old for this stuff . One of the guys lent me a pair of gloves with the fingers tips cut out because I was whining about how I had to land because my hands were to cold . I couldn't stand the gloves on my hands . I felt like I was washing my feet with my socks on sort of . I had to yell for my buddy to come take over for me while I took the gloves off. They were just too heavy . Light ones might have been okay .
