Check keep checking temps. U don't want the motor to go over 160°f the ESC should stay cool but it needs to stay under ~130°f.
If it gets too hot then gear down. So say the pinion is a 17t take it to 15t check temps and if it is under the 160° after a good bash then ur good.
While out and running it give it a couple speed runs(like straight line full throttle) and some running off road like u would drive normally, check temps ever 5mins for the first pack u should be able to get a good handle on it after the first pack

Going down 1 tooth on the pinion could mean the difference in a fried ESC/motor to a good running power efficient truck.
