It is a big time commitment. It is very enjoyable and satisfying. The kits I've done so far have been challenging and the included balsa and lite ply parts poolry die-cut and some of the material was unusable. I've had to buy replacement balsa and modify just about every piece to make it go together. But other kits may be better and some like the challenge.
I'm currently building the BALSA USA 1/6 scale Nieuport 28 C but the thread is on RC groups as there were no threads here on the particular kit (many on the 1/4 scale but they didn't help as much).
