The size of the sheathing isn't critical at all, metric equivalents are more than close enough. With this airframe it's all about the structure (ribs and spars, LE) after that it pretty much your choice. Mine is fully sheathed many didn't bother and opted for a d tube with cap strips.
Mine is fully sheathed and highly modified for electric power.
