60W tube, but I am cutting at 30W.. so maybe 300W input to the laser, cooling pump 50W, air pump 80W, lights 100W.. rounding up to 600W perhaps = 120/1/60 5 amp. If I crank the radio maybe 6 amps.

The deal with a laser is energy density in the beam. 60W of power in a 0.005" diameter dot is a lot of instant vaporizing power. Same amount of heat per second as a 60W light bulb but it cuts 1/4" spruce ply at almost 1" per second. In decent 1/32" balsa if I get the deck height optimum, the cut is amazingly fine and clean. The laser cutter makes me want to build small intricate things, not 10cc multi engine monsters.
