I just finished one that I got at an estate sale last summer. I got it new in box for a hundred bucks and thought it was a great deal. Turns out that it would have been a much better deal for twenty five bucks. I believe it was one of the very first runs. Very poor quality kit. The seems in the fiberglass were not finished, the end supercharger cover was warped up at about a forty five degree angle. The wheels do not retract all of the way into the fuses, there are no gear doors, and the green paint was hideous. On the first landing (not exactly perfect) two of the gear tore out. You could take the plywood they were bolted to and snap it in two between your fingers. I replaced it with some US plywood and that took care of the problem. On the bright side it does fly very well, haven't noticed any bad habits. But for the price those folks are asking you could get one of the new
VQ one for a lot less and have a much nicer model.
