If you're looking for a really unique pylon racer from the 70's that can be built from plans, have a look at http://www.airagestore.com/plans/rc-...g/bob-cat.html.

I have the molds for the BobCAT as my Dad produced the fiberglass fuselages for Clifford A Telford and Bob Violett. Dad carved the plug from a wood version as an example and he met with Bob several times when Bob could layover in Charlotte during his airline pilot days. Dad still has a carved but unfinished set of plug halves that have an upright cylinder. And I believe I remember that the upright engine version was in response to the FAI basically outlawing the plane by requiring that the wheels had to be separated laterally by some dimension more than 6-8 inches or so.

I don't have the wing templates and need to order a set of the wood version plans to get the airfoil. I want to build one someday.

BTW, I also have all of the Stegall Minnow molds from version 2 through 5 including version 4, aka the Boni Toni. Version 1 was a copy of the Stafford Super Minnow, but those molds were lost.
