In the 12Z, you can set the motor channel to the stick with the trim, J3 and T3. You can then follow the procedure I described above. In the 12Z, it really doesn't matter whether you choose Acro, Glider, or Motor Glider. You can rename and/or reassign channels and functions however you desire. Even so, if you use the Motor Glider selection, you can still do the above with the motor channel that defaults to switch activation. Set up the Motor channel as described and when you enter that condition, the curve is flat at zero, so the motor switch doesn't do anything.
