Take note the Valiant is a small airplane by todays standards and it is pretty impressive on knife edge.
Some one asked why such a high nose angle on knife edge, well if you look close the down wind leg exits are a zero to very little throttle.
I was demonstrating the knife edge power and even in 15-20 mph gust the spiral slip steam did not affect me
The wind did move me around some at the high angle fall at no throttle , bear in mind that fall was rudder only , pretty astounding!
