The cyclone ended up tracking about 60km west of us & was down to cat 3 by then. We only had 90mm of rain for the whole day and the biggest wind gust only 45 knots. I have not been to check the plane yet but as it has been through worse before i am assuming it will be fine. We were a bit worried when it crossed the coast as a cat 5 only about 140 km north of us but thankfully it weakened as it tracked inland past us.
We were battened down as much as we could be but glad to not have that tested.
Blue skies now and not much wind, looks like tomorrow will be a great day to go flying
