When I replaced my gas stove, I saved some of the corrugated flexible pipe that looked a lot like the Saito flex pipe. However, the fittings were different (of course) and the pipe, which was stainless steel, was coated with a yellow plastic. I don't have welding equip. or I would have tried to fit some metric Saito fittings. My guess the yellow plastic would just have burned off. But, I have heard that the Saito flex pipes do not make the engines run better, perhaps the opposite.
