RE: Anyone using a P70 on a Roo II ?
It should work perfectly fine. My first roo was powered with a RAM750 (ironically, my new one is as well) but the first one was limited back to 12 pounds thrust. I did have the benefit of a VERY light Kangaroo, only 13 pounds dry, but it was awesome at 12 pounds thrust, I always wondered what it would do at the full 18 pounds hehehe. I am not very familiar at all with Jetcat, but the P70 is noticably lighter, and smaller than the P80, and only 4 pounds less thrust. With the AMA .9:1 power to weight ruling, the P80 would realistically need to be regulated back on the thrust anyway. Unfortunately I'm not sure what the idle thrust of the P70 is, but according to Jetcat's website, the P80 is only .8 at idle, my 750 was a little higher than that and I didn't have any problems landing on a 400 foot runway.
