Throwing tracks is most dependant on drive sprocket location. rear drive tanks are most prone to it (unless they have extra sprocket guides like the Pershing or leopard two). Next most important is having a properly aligned drive train. If you have wheels out of alignment to thesprockets then the tracks are always being pulled off to some extent. Finally how much grip lateral resistance a track produces is a factor. You could have a smoothish wide track which would be less prone to come off that a narrow grippy track.

The worst tank I've encountered for throwing tracks is the hooben Elefant. The bogie design is inherently wobbly and the prototype ran with lots of slack in the track, a recipe for disaster imo!
