With piston porting or reed valve induction, the engine should run either direction (remember the Cox reed valve engines?) depending on the ignition timing (either magneto or CDI) that will determine the running direction. If using the OS plug, it should run either way. The induction timing on a disc or crankshaft valved engine like most glow engines determines their direction of running, although some engines with a bolt on front cover can be reversed by rotating the front cover 90 degrees. Good luck with the OS plug. Report back here how it works for you.
