Won't do you much good, almost all new commercial aircraft are fly-by-wire. The A320 failure was a poor man-machine interface design that caused the pilot error. There are still problems, a recent 777 crash was also pilot error caused by poor man-machine interface design. The pilot is still in charge and still operating the aircraft, but the designers can still kill him (or her), not to mention the passengers.
