I cant say anything about the windscreen but as far as the cocking handle just modify it so the gun will fit where it belongs, there were several different mechanisms on the Vickers and the one Wms Bros designed (way back when) has a cocking handle and lever that doesn't fit many airplanes, prolly an infantry version where nothing was in the way.
