Yah, the color sprayed in areas of the captured TA looks like a chromate. As it could vary in shade to a large degree so I have been told.

I just purchased a color chip book, that is approved by the scale board for competition. Interesting how different the colors vary from book to book. This color chip book I have, is what the judges are using to define a particular color. I am glad I got clued in to this, as the paint that I had lined up for my project, was not close to the chips I will use for competition.

I am gathering all of these things now, paint, nomenclature, and paint masks. Although fairly simple, I am going to drop the money for get stencils to do my paint masks to save time.
