Hi Guys,
My Chippy had its maiden flight today.
I needed assistance with the gas motor as it is my first and I asked a more experienced pilot to take-off and trim her out for me.
I have the skills to trim a model in flight but I was more concerned about my nerves than anything else. Once trimmed out, I took the controls, flew and landed the model.
Needless to say I am delighted.
She flies really smooth and easy. The DLE 35 has a surprising amount of excess power.
Having no experience of gas motors, the jury is still out on the anti-vibration mounts.
