Super news about your maiden. You know guys are using 100mm from leading edge for CG now with pleasant results. This is where I'm setting mine.
Another issue I ran into was the wing bolt holes not aligned with the wing. See pic.
I'm going to use a metal coating process. The tip tanks were done as a test and they are acceptable. I want my airplane to have an extremely high polish look like these birds did. The last pic shows my tip tanks.
