Joe the rudder is on a pull-pull system, so you may want to play with the control horn to see if you can get more throw. On my maiden flight, I did test out the rudder and found out it will do good rudder turns. On landing I had a 45 degs crosswind and the rudder did a great job holding the nose down the runway. As for the use of flaps, I will leave that up to you. This plane slow down real good without them. My covering was tight out of the box, but, after a very short in the sun at my club field, the covering was loose. I hope tomorrow we do not get any rain, ( here in the great northwest ), so I can start playing with props to find a good match-up for engine and power!!
