Ok, you guys talked me into it. A DLE 35RA it will be !
Our club has a 96 db noise rule, so a decent aftermarket muffler will also be needed. From personal experience and from what I have read over the years the supplied DLE mufflers leave a lot to be desired. Plus, they are not a true muffler, just an exhaust diverter.
Too bad there isn’t any room in this plane for a quiet canister.
JTEC has what they call “Snufflers”. These are permanently installed to the down tubes by JTEC when you order one of their mufflers. I could not find a muffler for a 35RA at the JTEC website, so I just shot off emails to JTEC and Bisson about my noise issue.
The picture is of a muffler silencer. During the winter I placed a set of these into the two down pipes on the Bisson muffler for the DLE 55 in my 85" Reactor. I still haven't tried them out yet this spring.
