I knew I could count on you for sympathy. At least the "crime scene" was small. Kinda glad it went straight in for just that reason. The ground was REALLY soft. Hopefully the engine is OK, but I don't have much hope for the ignition module. The prop nut was easily 18 in. below ground level. I couldn't see any of the engine, I just pulled it out by the throttle linkage. I haven't taken a good look at any of the components yet, so I still don't know the full extent of the carnage. It's been awhile since I've stuffed one so thoroughly. I got so pissed at the 190 the day before, I guess I just didn't have it in me to get upset about the Corsair. At least it was an ARF. I don't mourn ARF's.
