Hi,

I suppose the lighter-the-better principle applies here if you want to fly with an engine that small. I've seen video of that combo and it was great. I have to admit that I've never been too concerned about weight with this bird once I figured out her stall. My last several were built stock (other than the inlet mods for accommodating a fuel tank) with robo-struts on all three gear, flaps and servo-powered speed-brakes. After that, they also had an external wet tank on the centerline. With a P-60, they'd get airborne in 200' and be back-taxiing by the 2/3rd point on a 450' runway. This airplane looks really slick with a centerline tank on it, by the way....
