The all metal tanks are only a challange to tamiya if they are the same quality, or if Tamiya doesnt offer that tank model.
from the reviews ive seen, the gear boxes on the mato are almost as good as a tamiya, the detail is nice, they seem quite robust.
But then there is that massive weight issue and the fact you cant mod that metal stuff very well.
