If your going to open up the front dont go too large . Just enough so you can see the solid part of the barrel , not the fins .That way the air hits the barrel and goes around through the fins , otherwise the air will go to the least resistant path and that is where theres nothing in front of it . Think of the air as water when it hits something it will go around it but if theres nothing in front it will go straight ahead .Go upwards towards the prop nut you dont have open up the front as to expose the cam box just the barrel is fine .
